Ladies and gentlemen, if I may now draw your attention to the center ring, it is now time for something that everyone has been waiting for. Well, okay, maybe not everyone, but definitely Dark Knight fans: A Batman game that is actually good. No, wait, “good” doesn’t quite cut it. Let me put it this way: Batman: Arkham Asylum is awesome.

It is a dark and stormy night. (Okay, maybe not.) Miranda is an author suffering from a terrible case of writer’s block. Her doorbell rings. She opens the door to discover she’s received a mysterious package, which turns out to be a book sent from a fantastic world known as The Otherside, a parallel dimension that works on dream logic, full of bizarre locales and creatures. With the guidance of Jovie, a possessed teddy bear, she must travel back and forth between worlds and unravel the mystery of a brother and sister torn apart.

There are a lot of good racing games on the market, most recently Colin McRae’s DiRT 2 and Need for Speed: Shift. But one part of the racing genre that has been sorely neglected is the futuristic racer; the last one that I can recall is Kinetica for the PS2 in 2001. Now, thanks to Eipix, a small Serbian game development company, we have Pyroblazer Gold Edition.

“Play as Dick Marcinko, real-life founder of SEAL Team Six and the U.S. Navy’s most efficient killing machine.” That’s what it says on the back of the Rogue Warrior box. Sounds pretty exciting, right? What you actually get is far less than what the media hype leads you to believe, but I’ll get to that in a minute.
