Video games and horror movies have quite a few things in common. They are usually violent, sometimes scary, and occasionally gory. TikGames sees these similarities and feels it is only natural to try to merge video games and horror movies together. The result? The stealth-action Child’s Play game they are currently developing. While little is known about the game in its current state, it will likely feature a tiny doll and a whole lot of stabbing.

The Facebook page for StarCraft II has a little surprise. This photo is a sneak preview of a new Terran multiplayer unit that will be available when StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm releases next year. I think it looks like classic MegaMan nemesis, AirMan. Or maybe a Gundam wearing football gear. What do you think it is? Share your guesses in the comment section.

Okay, so maybe my headline is a little harsh, and it’s not entirely your fault. In an interview with Gamasutra, Tameem Antoniades, CCO of Ninja Theory, thought Enslaved‘s marketing was partially to blame, stating, “From our point of view as a developer, I’m always puzzled by it. Why bet on triple-A if you’re not going to spend for triple-A? You can’t have it both ways.” Enslaved was well received by critics but did poorly in sales, which is usually the only number publishers look at when it is time for a sequel.

In a question and answer session with fans, Rockstar has confirmed what many PC gamers already feared: Red Dead Redemption isn’t headed for the PC. When asked why the game wouldn’t get a PC release, Rockstar replied, “All we can say is that whenever it is viable (technically, developmentally and business-wise) for us to release a game for PC (or any other particular platform) – we will and we usually do; unfortunately, that is just not the case 100% of the time for all platforms.” You can read the full Q&A here.

Not even criminals can resist the siren song of free stuff. Using this knowledge to their advantage, law enforcement officials in Chicago set up a ruse promising free televisions and video game consoles to thousands of fugitives wanted for everything from violent felonies to unpaid child support. As the fugitives showed up at the warehouse, they were greeted with empty plasma TV and console boxes.
