Congratulations are in order for Playdead’s side-scrolling thriller Limbo. The downloadable title’s lifetime sales have officially exceeded one million. A Mac port for the App Store is currently being worked on, which will no doubt send Limbo‘s numbers up even further.

The popular racing game will feature 32 tracks, both new and old, and over 15 characters, including Yoshi, Toad, Lakitu, and Shy Guy. Sony and Capital One have united to release a PlayStation-branded credit card. The credit card, shown in the image on the left, will give users bonus points on all PlayStation and Sony purchases. Cardholders will get 10 times the points on PSN purchases, and 3 times the points on fast food, movie tickets, Sony Store purchases, and their mobile phone bill. MMOVRPG, (that’s massively multiplayer online vampire role-playing game), DarkEden is getting ready to hold a closed beta. Players who wish to participate in the beta can sign up at the game’s official website. Beta testers who continue to play the game after release will be rewarded with in-game items. DarkEden features hack-n-slash action and three playable classes: Vampires, Slayers, and Ousters.

Today in head-scratching news, ZQGame and SEE Games announced their upcoming browser-based MMO based on the movie Total Recall. Yeah, you read that right; Total Recall. Citing the movie’s international success, Sony Pictures VP Mark Caplan believes this well-known property will make a great 3D browser based game.” No word yet on how gameplay will work, or what classes will be available at launch.

Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath is getting an HD remake for the PSN this year, and to celebrate, the folks at Media Molecule have announced a new LittleBigPlanet 2 costume based on the game’s title character. LBP2‘s Stranger costume will include a unique skin, a new nose and beard, a full outfit, and a crossbow. The costume will be available on Tuesday for $1.99.

There’s a new f2p-MMORPG on Facebook this week. Conquer Online, which launched this past Wednesday, takes place in ancient China and features martial arts combat and six classes to choose from. The game includes eighteen different weapon styles, over thirty-five skills and abilities, and a level cap of 140.

Let’s get this out of the way: Captain Backwater is pirate-y. It’s hard to communicate the fullness of this meaning. Backwater takes every pirate cliché in an awkward embrace, leaving you to sit by and pretend not to notice. If cheesy pirate sayings don’t float your boat, worry not; the theme can be surgically removed from the actual gameplay without harm. Once you carefully perform such an operation, you’ll find Captain Backwater a rather charming, straightforward puzzle game.

The Heavy Rain: Director’s Cut will feature the original game, “The Taxidermist” DLC, the 16-track score, built-in Move support, three free dynamic themes, and more. The Director’s Cut will be available for $29.99 on November 8. To thank the players, Quantic Dream is giving away the Heavy Rain Crime Scene Dynamic Theme for free on the PSN next week.

Square Enix is about to drop a bomb on your free time. Today, they announced their “Winter of RPGs” campaign, which features three upcoming releases to the PSN. Coming November 8 is Chrono Cross. A few weeks later, on November 22, Final Fantasy V hits the PSN. Last but not least is Final Fantasy VI, which will be available to download on December 6.
