Tripwire Interactive announced today that the release date for Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad is shifting back two weeks to September 13. Tripwire felt they needed the extra two weeks to get it right and “add that extra polish both the game and the players deserve.”

Red Orchestra 2 contains single-player campaigns in Stalingrad for both the Russian and German sides, consisting of 12 missions each. The title’s three multi-player game modes and campaign can be played across 10 maps, and incorporate persistent stats and player progression.

Kalypso Media is inviting gamers to take to the high seas on a journey of discovery, trading and piracy with the announcement of Port Royale 3, the next title in their series of economic simulation games. The game aims to send players off on an adventure where they can play as either a heroic captain, villainous brigand, or savvy merchantman. Currently in development by Kalypso Media’s own internal studio, Gaming Minds, it’s scheduled for release in 2012 for Windows PC, the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

505 Games and developer HB Studios have announced that fans awaiting the launch of the official Rugby World Cup 2011 video game will be able to get hands on with a demo for the Xbox 360 (globally) and PlayStation 3 (PAL territories only).

The demo features England vs. South Africa in Auckland, and is meant for players of all abilities to experience a taste of what the full title has to offer. In the full version of the game launching August 26, players will be able to customize the difficulty setting as they are challenged to pick from the 20 participating teams and attempt to lead their team through the pool phase, and progress to the Final with the opportunity to lift the Webb Ellis Cup.

Picture from Rage UprisingUprising is a new trailer for Rage that tells the game’s story from when you start out as an Ark survivor through becoming a force in the Wasteland’s fight against the oppressive Authority.

Rage, slated for release in North America October 4, features first-person shooter action, vehicle combat, an expansive world to explore and graphics powered by id’s id Tech 5 technology. Set in the not-too-distant future after an asteroid impacts Earth, you emerge into a vast wasteland to discover humanity working to rebuild itself against such forces as bandit gangs and mutants.

Brink: Agents of Change is now available via Xbox Live, the PlayStation Network and Steam. The DLC will be free to download for the first two weeks, and then will be available for purchase for 800 Microsoft Points or $9.99.

Agents of Change is all about secrets, lies, and double agents. Nothing is as it seems as the arrival of a mysterious ship from the outside world shatters the tentative peace reached between the Resistance and Security factions. The revived battle spreads to two all-new districts of the Ark (the underwater Labs facility and Founders’ Tower). Unleash fury on your enemies with new abilities as you work your way towards the newly raised level cap of 24 and customize your character with new outfits and additional weapon attachments.

Kalypso Media has released artwork from their upcoming role-playing title The Dark Eye – Demonicon, that unveils its main character, Cairon.

In his 25 years, Cairon has witnessed more horrors than most people in a lifetime. A life on the run through the Shadow Lands made him a fighter without compromise. As well as the deadly fighting skills learned from his father and surviving the tough streets, Cairon has mastered a fighting style that utilizes his arm-armor and sword.

The Dark Eye – Demonicon is currently in development by Kalypso’s Noumena Studios in Berlin for Windows PC, the Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 in 2012.

In addition to the announcement of the closed beta test starting next week, the company has also released this brand new trailer to show off the game. Brawl Busters is a Free2Play action brawler that features competitive and co-operative battle modes, presented from a third person view.

PC gamers with a NVIDIA GeForce 8-series or higher graphics processing unit, and compatible 3D Vision ready display will be able to play the game in 3D when it releases later this summer. Players will simply enable the option in the game’s graphic settings and put on a pair of 3D Vision glasses for an out-of-screen experience.

Closed beta testing for the fantasy MMORPG, Scarlet Legacy begins today at 11am PT. During the testing period, players will enter a fantasy world where they must journey to save Princess Scarlet.

Scarlet Legacy offers tactical combat with cinematic animation, character customization options, and PvP modes and battlefields. There are four classes to choose from at the beginning, but each has access to multiple talent trees, bonus granting combat Stances, and evolving skills which allow for personalized progression. And in case you were wondering, crafting profession skills, mounts, pet customization and mutation systems, and in-world mini-games have not been left out.

It had recently been reported that both Pac-Man and Galaga Dimensions for the Nintendo 3DS lacked an option to erase data that had been saved to the game’s cartridge, but that’s apparently not completely true. Namco Bandai Games has just issued instructions for correcting the problem. Saved data can be reset by holding the A,B,X,Y,L and R buttons when booting up the game from the 3DS system’s home screen.
