Picture from Tricks and treats in the Disney UniverseIt’s almost Halloween, and trick-or-treaters are getting ready to dress as some of their favorite heroes and explore a world of imagination and excitement in both the real and virtual worlds. In Disney Universe, the new action-adventure for the Wii, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC, any time is the right time to suit up. Players choose from 45 costumes and battle through six worlds, with up to four players using their game systems’ local multiplayer connectivity (no Internet required). Each world has its own puzzles to solve, games to play, treasures to gather, and enemies to defeat. Stay alert, however, as the bad guys are touted as pretty clever, and will set traps and pitfalls to make your journey through the Disney Universe a tough one.

Want to celebrate the spookiest holiday known to man with a sexy half-vampire and tons of blood? Majesco Entertainment has announced that BloodRayne: Betrayal, is now available as part of Microsoft’s two-week-long XBLA Shocktober promotion for 1,200 Microsoft Points.

In Betrayal, Rayne, has returned to battle and feed in a hack ‘n slash adventure developed by WayForward. You are Rayne, recruited by the vampire hunting Brimstone Society for one last mission. With the help of a mysterious friend, and members of Brimstone, Rayne must infiltrate the manor, take out a fiendish horde, and stop an evil master plot once and for all.

NCIS voice actors revealed

Picture from NCIS voice actors revealedToday, Ubisoft announced that David McCallum and Robert Wagner, from the television drama series NCIS, will be reprising their roles as voice actors in the NCIS video game. This is the first video game based on the series, and it will be available November 1 for Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and PC.

In the video, McCallum and Wagner discuss their involvement behind the scenes and their transformation from screen to game.

Heavy Elements contains 30 new levels, and is now available on PSN and XBLA in the U.S. for $2.99/240 MS Points. Rare Elements also contains 30 more levels, and will be available November 29 for PSN and November 30 for the 360.

Electronic Arts announced today that an all-new HD version of NFL Blitz will arrive in January. The title will be available via digital download at the Xbox Live Arcade for 1200 points and the PlayStation Network for $14.99. It features the arcade-style gameplay of the original, and then mixes in online game modes with high-definition graphics. The recharged NFL Blitz offers fans the opportunity to battle rivals 7-on-7, fight their way through the Blitz Gauntlet, or take over the online leaderboards in Blitz Battles.

An interactive narrative that explores the concepts of human rationality and recursive self-improvement, it will be playable on PC, Mac, iOS, and Android devices.

Set in Underfoot, a subterranean city inhabited by the Dark race, Girl with a Heart of is the story of Raven, an eleven-year-old girl separated from her parents during a vicious attack by the Light’s army. As her city’s last defenses slowly crumble and her sense of normalcy is stripped away, Raven learns that she plays a critical role in this global conflict due to her unusual, artificial heart. Now she must learn to harness her newly acquired power and make a series of choices that will have consequences beyond her little town.

Picture from Dungeon Defenders final developer diaryTrendy Entertainment has released the fifth and final developer diary for its upcoming co-op/action-RPG/tower-defense game, Dungeon Defenders, which takes a closer look at the various modes and missions available within the game. The Campaign Missions (which permit four difficulty levels) follow the heroes on their quest to rid their castle of evil. Then there’s the Challenge Missions, which include Survival Mode (Trendy’s own brand of infinite Tower Defense), and Pure Strategy Mode. Meanwhile, those seeking a true test of their skills should give the randomized Mix Mode a shot. All of these modes also support experience and loot for your heroes.

Dungeon Defenders will be available tomorrow on the PlayStation Network and Wednesday via Xbox Live.

If you’re interested in being part of this exclusive closed beta, make with the clickage and fill out an application. Those chosen to participate will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement prior to their participation. Beta testing is scheduled to begin on Thursday, November 17.

Double Fine Productions has announced that their first PC title in over six years, the Halloween adventure Costume Quest, is now available on Steam. The game goes for $14.99 and includes the add-on adventure Grubbins on Ice.

Costume Quest is an RPG set during Halloween night, where you play as a Trick or Treater on an urgent mission. Monsters have invaded your town, kidnapped your twin, and worst of all, they are stealing all the candy. Players must build a party, collect candy, take on side quests, and craft new costumes along the way. These special costumes transform them into giant fantasy warriors so they may fight a variety of monsters in turn-based combat to save Halloween.

South Park Digital Studios announced today that Scott Tenorman returns with a vengeance in the upcoming XBLA title South Park: Tenorman’s Revenge. The platformer will be available sometime in the spring, exclusively via the Xbox Live Arcade.

South Park: Tenorman’s Revenge is being developed by Other Ocean Interactive. Fans will get to play as Cartman, Kyle, Stan and Kenny as they battle Scott Tenorman and his Ginger army. Additionally, the game’s multiplayer co-op allows players to team up with up to three others locally or via Live to save South Park.
