Resident Evil 4 available for download in HD

Picture from Resident Evil 4 available for download in HDBeginning today, Resident Evil 4 is available for download via the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Games on Demand. This release marks the first time that the game will be available in HD, and features upgraded visuals and support for Trophies and Achievements. It also contains all the bonus content available in previous versions, including the Separate Ways epilogue.

Picture from Orcs Must Die gets release datesRobot Entertainment has issued release dates for Orcs Must Die at the Xbox Live Arcade and Steam. Xbox players can massacre orcs by the thousands on October 5, and PC gamers can begin their murderous defense of rift fortresses on October 12.

Orcs Must Die is an action-strategy game that challenges players to defend fortresses under siege. With a variety of traps and weapons to choose from, it dares players to find the best ways to overcome an endless army of orcs.

Lonesome Road, the fourth add-on pack for Fallout: New Vegas, is now available for download via Xbox Live (800 MS Points) and will be available later today on the PlayStation Network and Steam ($9.99).

In Lonesome Road you are contacted by the original Courier Six, a man by the name of Ulysses who refused to deliver the Platinum Chip at the start of Fallout: New Vegas. He promises to reveal why he didn’t take the job, but only if you make one last journey into the hurricane-swept canyons of the Divide, a landscape torn apart by earthquakes and violent storms.

Immortal King‘s open beta is arriving September 22 at 19:00 (CT). The game plunges you into a world steeped in Greek mythology, challenging you to command a powerful army, govern an empire, become a legendary figure, and even conquer the infamous Greek gods themselves. It boasts a technically proficient browser-based experience, drawing on the latest scripting technologies to immerse players in its world. There will be ten in-game activities to help players get involved during the open beta, with free items and goodies up for grabs.

Picture from Unstoppable Gorg sign ups beginFuturemark Games Studio is inviting PC gamers that are fans of the tower defense genre to sign up for the Unstoppable Gorg closed beta test that’s due to begin within the next couple of weeks. The game is a space defense title inspired by the sci-fi films of the 1940s and 50s. It builds on the core tower defense mechanics by adding an orbital layout and the ability to move towers by rotating orbits.

The beta is open to all PC gamers with a minimum requirement of Windows XP and DirectX 9 hardware. Those interested can apply via the Futuremark forums.

With the help of the Kore Suit developed by Dr. Samuelson, robotic armor which greatly enhances the wearer’s natural abilities, Pixie Madboy and Rex set out on an adventure to confront the Kranks and end their reign of nastiness.

They boast that you will never have to choose a difficulty level, as the title will continuously adjust to your ability.

Rocksmith is the first and only video game that allows players to plug in any real guitar into an Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3, to play songs from classic rock to the latest hits, like House of the Rising Sun” by The Animals, “Next Girl” by The Black Keys and “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” by The Rolling Stones.

How do you say good-bye to someone who has been an integral part of Avault since before you can remember? You could do a sappy retrospective of their body of work, add an orchestral soundtrack, and bring a tear to the eye of everyone reading. You could write a brief farewell and announcement of their departure for their fans. Or you could say nothing and quietly hope that no one notices the change in the masthead.

But what if the body of their work can be summed up with an acronym and a word? “DRM bad!” What if they have no fans and only adversaries?
