Luxor 3
Developer and publisher: Mumbo Jumbo

Picture from Top Casual PC Games of 2007 Like fellow award winner, Ricochet Infinity, Luxor 3 is a sequel that contains so much innovation that it springs to the head of the pack of Zuma clones, in which you shoot colored balls to make three-in-a-row matches with other balls moving in a chain around you. The story has you battle Set, the power-hungry god of Chaos, and his minions to free the essences of other Egyptian gods. In your quest, you traverse over 140 nail-biting levels and seven challenging gameplay modes. While making matches, you can catch a wide variety of entertaining supernatural power-ups, including ball slowdown, ball stop, ball reversal, bombs, fireballs, lightning bolts, sandstorms, ball color changers, launcher speedups and power-up collectors. You may also collect Ankh coins for use in purchasing key upgrades, including defensive and offensive aids and new balls and shooters. You also get to utilize reflectors to make otherwise impossible matches, hit sinister scarabs to release gems and jewelry worth extra points, and collect special jars to unlock bonus levels.

Until next year, stay casual!
