Picture from 2K reveals NHL 2K11 cover man

NHL 2K11 will have one of the stars of the United States’ silver medal-winning Olympic hockey team starring on its cover. Vancouver Canuck Ryan Kesler, who nailed an empty-net goal to secure the win over Canada, has agreed to appear as this year’s cover man. Kesler has been a player consultant on the NHL 2K series for the past four years, and last year provided some motion capture acting for the game.

I was pretty disheartened after we lost in the gold medal game, and to get the call the next day and to be asked if I wanted to be on the cover, it was a nice pick-me-up,” Kesler said. “It’s always been a dream.”
