Singularity, Activision’s upcoming FPS, has been given a new release date of June 29, 2010. The game, developed by Raven Software (Wolfenstein and X-Men Origins: Wolverine) was originally dated for fall 2009, then was moved to early 2010 and now finally has a date for summer. The game’s confused release probably coincided with Activision’s release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. In Singularity, gamers play an Air Force pilot called Nate who, in the early parts of the game, is scrambled to investigate some strange happenings on an island off the coast of Russia. After Nate’s plane crashes, he discovers a mysterious time-manipulation device and must use it to unlock the mysteries of the island, while staying alive in the process. The game will arrive for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on the same day.
