Eric Chahi, the architect behind Another World, has revealed that developer DotEmu and Publisher BulkyPix have been chosen to bring his game to the iPhone and iPad platforms.

Another World chronicles the story of a young scientist hurtled through space and time by a nuclear experiment that goes wrong. You assume the role of Lester Knight Chaykin who has to dodge, outwit, and overcome the host of alien monsters and deadly earthquakes that plague the alien landscape he finds himself in. Only a perfect blend of logic and skill will get Lester past the deadly obstacles that lie in wait.

System requirements, release date and pricing are not yet available, but we’ll keep you posted.

Man, I remember playing this game on PC years ago. I loved it. I can still remember the stuff the guard shouts at you while you’re trapped in a cage…

I recall it too. Sadly when I first saw it I was a newbie to PC games, and so I never made it past this first lion-like monster. =(

It was tough, no question. Took a LOT of retries to get it right, but it was worth it. Flashback was, I think, done by the same team, too. Similar art design, anyway.

Oops. My mistake. Apparently Flashback was NOT done by Chahi after all. It just had a similar look to it.
