Matrix Games will release Armada 2526, a space-based blend of turn-based strategy and real time space battles, in time for the holiday spending spree. In Armada, you guide your race from its first interstellar journeys, until it becomes a mighty galactic empire. Along the way, you’ll explore the galaxy, conduct research, practice diplomacy and trade, found new colonies, maneuver mighty star fleets, and, of course, fight wars. Although the game aims to be complex, help and advisor features assist in getting you up to speed quickly. Unlike many games in this genre, you won’t need hours to devote to a single game. The title boasts a streamlined play system, providing games that can be finished in a reasonable time, and emphasizes battle and strategy over economic micro-management.
