Bigpoint will be demonstrating Battlestar Galactica Online this week at GDC. The title is a tactical space combat and adventure MMOG based on the SyFy series. The game will launch worldwide this fall on Syfy.com for a 30 day period.

Battlestar Galactica tells the story of humanity’s last remnants and their struggle to find a new home while fleeing from their deadly Cylon enemies. Players will be able to choose to play as cylons or humans in a blend of tactical space combat, exploration, and mission-based gameplay. In addition, assets from the television production will be integrated into the game in an attempt to deliver an authentic experience.

uhm… so whats the point of fighting on either side when the show ended with the cylons imploding and humans getting their freak on with cave people… seems pointless as you cannot move the story forward.
