Sony Computer Entertainment has acquired game developer Evolution Studios and its subsidiary, Bigbig Studios. Evolution Studios, based in Runcorn, England, is the developer of MotorStorm for the PlayStation 3. The studio is working on the next installment of the MotorStorm franchise, scheduled for release on the PS3 in 2008, along with content expansions for the original MotorStorm to be distributed via PLAYSTATION Network. Bigbig Studios, based in Leamington Spa, England, was founded in 2001 and is the developer of Pursuit Force for the PSP. The studio is working on the second title in the series, Pursuit Force: Extreme Justice, which will be available in October of this year for the PSP and on the PlayStation 2 in 2008.
