Publisher Codemasters and developer Blue Omega Entertainment today announced Damnation, a new videogame set to hit the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC this winter. Billed as a “shooter gone vertical” and visually inspired by iconic elements of American history, Damnation will feature massive landscapes that form the battlegrounds for a post-industrial clash between mankind and an arms dealer hell-bent on world domination.

You’ll be able to choose your own path as you navigate the world by performing daredevil feats and engaging compupter-controlled enemies in frantic gun battles. With up to three hours of gameplay per level, you’ll need more than muscle power to get across each level safely, though. To that end, Damnation will offer players a selection of vehicles, from motorbikes capable of launching across huge chasms to massive armor-piercing marvels. In addition to the single-player experience, Damnation will come with a unique set of multiplayer options that take advantage of the game’s expansive levels.
