Sixteen new screens have been released for the new Elder Scrolls game. While there was no detailed information about each shot, you can see for yourself some of the in-game treats. The landscapes look to have had a complete overhaul and are beautiful. Stealth based attacks appear to be included as do the ever present magical abilities. I am looking forward to this game!

Some of these look pretty awesome, but others look like they just came out of a plastic mold. Still, I think I’ll be buying this game unless Bethesda does something really reprehensible like including some idiotic DRM or GFWL.
Ah yeah! Time to buy a new computer!
……and take all your holiday from work in one go
Dragon Age 2 was utter junk, so I hope Skyrim doesn’t disappoint. However, my highest hopes for a fantasy RPG this year lie with The Witcher 2. Check out these screenshots:

I say they look FAR better than both Dragon Age 2 and Skyrim. And the story is based on the best fantasy novels ever written. I can’t tell you how sad I am that they are not properly translated into English and so I can’t share them with all of you here.
Alaric – it sure looks preddy…..
It looks pretty, yeah, but frankly, Bethesda’s never really won me over with its graphics. I’ve tried every iteration of their Elder Scrolls games since Daggerfall, played Fallout 3, and even have a copy of Skynet lying around somewhere collecting dust. Their games are usually ambitious, but I find that while the graphics often look good as static images, their animations are typically fairly weak.
None of that matters, though, since the gameplay itself is usually pretty good (if, again, a bit ambitious at times — but then sandbox games can get tedious for me in general).
I just needed this screenshot: http://www.avault.com/news/elder-scrolls-skyrim-screens/#comment-109406
Medieval Ren-Fair-esque boobies in a game by Bethesda. I’m sold.
@Solo4114 – Yeah graphics have never really pushed the envelope, but I prefer the ambitious gameplay over system-pounding graphics.
This is probably the 2nd game I’m buying this year. Oblivion was fantastic, and a simple graphics update with over 100 hours of quest time is worth the price of admission. I picked up Mass Effect 2 for the PS3 also, and I am enjoying it as well.
