Picture from Fable to be continued…

Peter Molyneux confirmed at Gamescom that Fable II will be re-released on Xbox Live as five downloadable episodes. The first piece in the series is due on September 29th and will be a free download. Players will experience childhood and the trials of being a young adult in the world of Albion. After completing the chapter, players have the choice to then purchase the next episode or the entire game. There are no pricing details, yet.

Molyneux has also just confirmed that Fable III is near completion for the Xbox 360. In the third game you play as the son or daughter of the Hero from Fable II, who will be generated based on your old save game. At the start of the third game you lead a revolution against an evil king and then decide whether to be either a great king or an evil tyrant. Given the choice I would have gone for a mediocre puppet head of state – let someone else make all the difficult decisions!
