Do you remember that great scene from Raiders of the Lost Ark in which all four Indiana Joneses were running away from that huge boulder? Okay, me neither, but that won’t stop it from being one of the highlights of the forthcoming LEGO Indiana Jones. Traveller’s Tales previous LEGO Star Wars titles shined in co-op play with a friend, so the revelation that they’ve added two more to the mix is most welcome. The only thing left is to argue over who gets to be Indy and who has to be Marcus Brody.

Savor those moments of unintentional hilarity in The Witcher while you can. In a move that is rare (if not unheard of) in the gaming industry, Witcher developer CD Projekt has admitted the English version of the game is less than stellar, and is planning an Enhanced Edition with proper translations and other technical improvements. Making for even better street cred, the release will be made free to anyone who has purchased the game previously. Bravo to CD Projekt for this move, and take note, George Lucas: this is how you make a proper revised edition — correcting rather than creating faults.

Gone are the days when your game had to implement lens flare in order to be cool. Now the latest trend is announcing your microtransaction middleware, as GameSpy recently announced their latest offering, Direct2Game, which will facilitate in-game purchases of additional content. This comes hot on the heels of Twofish’s announcement last week of their similar product. It’s a shame about this changing trend, too, as I was just about to announce FlareWare, my lens-flare middleware that was going to shake up the industry.
