After reviving and releasing more than 230 classic PC games, GOG.com’s DRM-free platform leaves behind its “Beta” status and has officially gone live. GOG is marking this milestone with a new site, brand new features and the announcement of a deal with Hasbro to breathe new life into such titles as BioWare’s role-playing opus, Baldur’s Gate: The Original Saga. The rest of the titles from Hasbro will be unveiled gradually in the coming weeks.
Available now for $9.99, Baldur’s Gate: The Original Saga utilizes the Advanced Dungeons & Dragons rule-set, and was deemed an instant classic upon release. Set in the Dungeons & Dragons setting of Forgotten Realms, the title gives players a great RPG experience that lasts longer than is usually seen in modern games.

You might want to update the screen shot. That’s not Baldur’s Gate. That’s a shot from Baldur’s Gate: Dark Alliance 2.
Thanks!
Looks like a BG screen to me. (Although it may have been changed already.)
Either way, Baldur’s Gate was absolutely amazing when it was released. No other game at the time even came close. I still have my 5 CDs for the original, and however many for Baldur’s Gate 2.
Concur Alaric, I still have mine as well, but my disk 2 and both of its backups have long since worn out.
And yes, image was already changed.
I actually think I have both the CDs and the DVD version around somewhere. I never did finish Throne of Bhaal and only did one playthrough of Shadows of Amn. Fantastic games though.
Man, this brings back some memories. Baldur’s Gate was great and so was Planescape Torment.
