Picture from All Hell’s broken loose

January sees the unleashing of the four horsemen of the apocalypse in the greatly anticipated RPG/action title Darksiders. The game is set a century after the ‘biblical apocalypse’, with players assuming the role of War, one of the aforementioned Horsemen. Gameplay includes battling your way through multi-level dungeon type environments in an effort to restore the balance between heaven and hell. Why one of the four so called apocalyptic horsemen would be striving for a peaceful balance (especially when they are named War) escapes me! But hey, let’s go with the flow and take up arms against the myriad of angelic and demonic hosts the game boasts. Darksiders is due for release on January 1st, 2010 on PS3 and Xbox 360.

Yea, I was being sarcastic actually. I think it is utter bull that some games don’t make it to PC. Of course it only goes for good games. This one I don’t know how it’s gonna turn out, but the trailer seemed interesting. Also there is this one other game with Jack Black, where he is some sort of a headbanger and the whole thing is about fighting the forces of evil with a heavy metal band… I’d LOVE to play that, but guess what… not on PC. Bastards!

Guys some good news – in a recent interview this week by Joe Madureira (designer and Creative Director for the Darksider game) he was asked if a PC version would be forthcoming:
“You know, they’re talking about it. I’m sure a PC version will drop at some point, but it won’t be until months of the initial launch.”

So while you might have to wait longer it looks as if you might get your wish!

I just remembered the name of that other game I was talking about! Brutal Legend! Take a look, it seems pretty cool. Oh and if anyone can tell me it’s gonna be on PC too, that’d be awesome!
