Wade McGilberry just won a million dollars playing MLB 2K10. The Associated Press reports that the 23-year-old from Mobile, AL accomplished the feat in just an hour and a half, becoming the first player of the title to pitch a perfect game. He and his wife, Katy, plan to pay off their mortgage and start a family with the winnings.
McGilberry said that when he bought the game, Katy suggested that he take the day off from work so that he could get a head start on the competition. “I thought about it (and) the responsible thing to do was to go to work,” he said. When he came home, he set up to record, started playing and achieved the perfect game after five or six attempts.
