What we know of Rising is that it focuses on Raiden. Yes, the blonde guy who crashed Solid Snake’s party. Thankfully, it will show how Raiden became the cyborg ninja that we saw in Metal Gear Solid 4. Hideo Kojima recently tweeted more about the game, and announced that he will not be producing it. Instead, he says that the title will be created by the next generation, and will be an entirely new MGS that aims to take the franchise in a new direction.

I don’t know about anyone else, but I really think it’s impossible for Raiden to receive the same love and affection that the timeless Solid Snake gets. I’m all for bringing Snake back.
