Picture from Microsoft seeks to flood the Xbox Live Arcade

Microsoft Game Studios is set to release its upcoming naval shooter AQUA – Naval Warfare this summer for the Xbox LIVE Arcade. The adventure is set in a beautifully hand-drawn Victorian industrial scenario where players assume control of steam powered ships, which can be unlocked, upgraded and enhanced as the game progresses. Players can choose from several different ship classes such as the: Vixen Cruiser, Seafury Gunship, and the Bullit Speedboat. Each vessel offers its own strengths and weaknesses. The speedboat is agile but low on firepower, while the gunship is slow but powerful. Meanwhile, the cruiser is an “all-rounder” with no outstanding weaknesses or strengths. Each ship can also equip various weapons and upgrades. The player will be able to enter special “Warshops” in the game levels to choose a ship type for the next operation and equip it with the right set-up of guns and upgrades. Aqua also allows players to issue commands to a squadron of four support ships. These ships provide a variety of support abilities including healing, extra firepower and sonar.
