Notch, creator of the world construction set Minecraft, announced Tuesday that the game’s new patch, version 1.7, will include the addition of the ability to move blocks around the environment. This will make possible the creation of moving objects, from basic doorways to more complex machinery. Also included in the “Pistons” update will be various minor bug squashings. The patch is set to be released soon as part of Notch’s upcoming new blog.
