Picture from More women playing video games

A recent poll conducted by Anderson Analytics found that more women play video games than previously thought. The study surveyed 1,000 college students and found that 82 percent of men and 59 percent of women spend six hours or more a week videogaming. The Wii was the most popular system with women; 15 percent of the 59 percent of women who played video games most desired a Wii. In addition, 57 percent of gamers expressed a desire to see more gender-neutral titles. The survey also showed that time spent playing videogames hasn’t surpassed time spent in front of the television. The average college student spends up to nine hours a week watching the tube.
