Picture from My kingdom for a horse…

I understand Blizzard announced on the official World of Warcraft forums that another major overhaul of the game’s mount system is planned. This is good news for lower level players as mounts will soon become cheaper to purchase, and available at earlier levels. I also understand that some mounts might even be faster and quicker to summon (90 milliseconds).

The game has gotten quite a bit longer, and allowing players to get from A to B faster only very minimally decreases difficulty; more so, it decreases time spent travelling,” Blizzard stated. Music to many players’ ears, though it makes little difference to me (my mage’s goat mount – don’t ask, I won it in a card game – still only reaches a top 20% land mount speed, and that’s if it’s not stopping to eat things!).
