Picture from Mythic’s Warhammer gives you ten levels for free

Mythic Entertainment and Electronic Arts have revealed their latest swipe at MMORPG competitors. They are seeking to ‘dwarf’ rival companies by announcing that Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning, is now an “endless” free-trial program without a time restriction up until level 10. This replaces their former 10-day sampler offer. New players will now be able to explore all of the tier-one environments as well as engage in player-versus-player scenario matches, until their character reaches level 10. This is a bold move and will no doubt shake the market up, which in my opinion is a good thing. Some gamers might be worried that this might create a two tier class system of trial players vs. non trial players. Fear not, however, for whilst you can choose to kit your budding adventurer out in ornate armor and the latest weaponry, wearing a ‘learner’ sign is not compulsory. So what are you waiting for? Go forth and sign up.
