Game developer NetDevil today announced it will launch Warmonger, a first-person shooter powered by the AGEIA PhysX processor and the latest Unreal Engine from Epic Games. Warmonger features a piece-by-piece destruction system the company says delivers stunning cloth-based effects. Warmonger will be available for the PC on October 16th via digital download and from hardware makers selling PhysX-based cards and gaming PCs. Screenshots and additional information can be found at www.warmongergame.com.

In Warmonger, destruction can be used as a tactical tool or a weapon; safe cover is no longer a forgone conclusion. For example, a sniper can blow up the stairs behind him to block access, but a rocket blast to the walking surface beneath him can hasten his death. Explosives, rockets, indirect fire and vehicle combat can literally blow away walls, obliterate ceilings and open up new pathways.

Players have a choice of five weapons, including an RPG launcher, a shielded and mountable mini-gun and more. In addition, Warmonger comes with six maps, including Sink or Swim, an underground staging area; The Approach, an old Western town; Knee Deep, an abandoned shopping center; Black Adit, an abandoned subway station; Car Collector, a wrecked parking garage; and Needle’s Eye, a rundown industrial sector.
