Picture from New CSI Game Announced

Ubisoft and CBS Consumer Products Friday announced a new game based on the hit TV show, CSI. The newest entry in the CSI videogame series, CSI: NY, will allow gamers to play as the actual characters from the show. The game will feature five new original cases crafted by the writers from the CSI: NY television show. Ubisoft representative Tony Key describes the game as “a new type of crime-solving experience” which utilizes an all-new graphic novel art style.

CSI: NY also features improved player controls, additional interactive gameplay, including new mechanics for conversations, computer use and blood work, which will allow gamers to have an even greater immersive experience in the CSI universe. Gamers will now control interrogations and use evidence to reveal suspects’ lies, recreating some of the dark and grisly scenes from the show. CSI: NY also features some new mini-games such as code-breaking, facial reconstruction, simulated shooter locations and Internet searching.

The CSI franchise has been a popular one for Ubisoft, selling over 3.5 million units worldwide since the first CSI game was released in 2003. CSI:NY is currently scheduled to launch on the PC this holiday season.
