Picture from OnLive on the iPadThe OnLive game streaming service launched today, and this video shows off the versatility of the service across platforms with an iPad playing some fairly sophisticated games. The $14.95 monthly fee provides access to a library of game content and community features. Individual titles are also available for purchase or rental on an a la carte basis.

Hmm… I wonder if they can keep up good frame-rates consistently on high resolutions. And what happens if the connection chokes a bit?

Ick. I think 2:20 in the video says it all.

I’ll be impressed… VERY IMPRESSED if someone could play Modern Warfare 2 on it against other players using reg PCs (that IS possible right??? or can one only play against OnLive players?) and WIN.

Love to see a demo of someone using OnLive in a 25 man WoW raid…
