With E3 coming up in June, a lot of eyes will be on Rare and their work with Kinect. They have already said that they have only scratched the surface of the device’s capabilities, claiming only 10% has been used. Now, we are hearing a bit of what that the other 90% may be.
The power to use your voice with your Xbox is something Rare is excited about. Scott Henson, Rare’s studio manager, told MCV, “The ability to say ‘Xbox Pause’ and it pauses is just the beginning. It’s magic, but it should be just like having a conversation moving forward.”

L.A. Noire‘s release is fast approaching, and for those that have the luxury of both a PS3 and an 360 it’s always tough trying to decide which version to buy. According to Destructoid, however, PlayStation may have made a move to entice you with exclusive content. Consul’s Car Traffic Chase is believed to be a new mission that will be available only on the PS3. Rockstar has not confirmed anything yet, but if it is true, it makes opting for the PS3 version (and its better graphics) even more tempting.

The Fish Dies in the End is all about a cute little fish trying to survive as long as possible. The fish remains in the same horizontal position, near the left edge of the screen, and as he swims, all manner of sea denizens pass from right to left. Predators are avoided by controlling his buoyancy: touch the screen and he rises, release and he descends. The fish has three lives during each round of gameplay, and the game features 3 levels of play, deadly boss sharks, comprehensive game statistics and scoring, color graphics, realistic air bubbles, bonus pearls, and life extensions.
The Fish Dies in the End requires iOS 3.1 or later to play and is available for the iPhone and iPad for $0.99.

We just received this urgent bulletin from our friends over at Tripwire Interactive.
“It has been brought to our attention that Killing Floor has updated for all clients, with a full, free, new Portal-themed prototype level. This is a complete, fully-functional level, but was not yet due for release. While we are investigating the source of the leak, everyone who owns Killing Floor is welcome to explore the new level and let us know what you find! We suspect that this may be part of the bedlam that has been going on since Potato Fool’s Day.“
Until the situation is rectified, they will continue to offer Killing Floor at a 50% discount via Steam.

PowerUp Heroes announced for Kinect |

Ubisoft has announced the development of PowerUp Heroes, a full-body combat game exclusively for Kinect. Developed by Longtail Studios, the game will let players transform their avatar into a custom superhero to face off in a fight against the forces of evil, when it releases in June.
Players control each move in combat by using their entire body to launch projectiles, dodge strikes and counter deadly attacks. Players can also unleash super assaults on their opponents in a two-player cosmic showdown online. Additional modes will include local two-player versus and four-player tournament. Players prepare their Xbox 360 avatar for battle by infusing their super suit with deadly powers and special abilities. After the character destroys an enemy in battle, they will strip them of the super suit and wield their power for their next battle. There are 20 super suits to collect including the Necromancer suit which allows the player to control a horde of skeletons, and the Mentalist suit that gives the player the ability to break into their enemy’s mind.
