Irrational Games has announced that the development of BioShock Infinite on the PS3 won’t be adding any platform-specific gimmicks. Creative director Ken Levine stated that Infinite won’t feature PlayStation Move integration, expressing that he’d, “never want to throw in Move support just because it’s going to make some first party happy.” Levine hinted that Irrational just didn’t see enough novel use to justify adding motion control. “You can have Move support on your box, but people are going to know you’re cheating them,” he said, noting that “you have to be able to say you’re doing something special with it.” On the question of a 3D display option he was more flexible. “It’s something I’d be more open to,” he admitted. “I’m not saying whether we’re doing that or not, but it’s sort of a passive integration.” The game is planned for 2012.

Ahh yes Thank goodness Levine is at the helm on this one. The less time wasted on integration of new tech for the sake of new tech the better. Ive feel as a PC gamer the lion share of titles in the last few years have been eviscerated by dumbing down or feature focus for the console, at the expense of the acutal game, The sum of all its parts so to speak . I loved Bioshock, replayed it several times.. And barely finished Bioshock 2 .
Now that Epic micky is done. I wish Sqare enix would hire Warren spector to oversee Deus Ex 3.. another game im quite sure will dissapoint . PS3 , oh how i hate you
Quite a refreshing approach from a developer to stick to a plan and not deviate to pander to the pressure of ‘it’s new so I must include it’ !
There again I think there are some games that need motion sensing -if red dead redemption included it, I’d be 3 stone lighter from all the multiplayer running away I do ;-p
