Chris Avellone, the Senior Designer for Fallout: New Vegas, joins us this week for Episode #103 of the Avault Podcast, and reveals not only details of the the upcoming release (guzzling water out of toilets and an Evil Frank), but his genuine excitement about it. Chris can’t wait for the rest of the word to play New Vegas, so it was only fitting that he announce our giveaway winners!
It’s that time of the year, and in addition to New Vegas, some really great and wanna-be great games are hitting the market. Amnesia: The Dark Descent, Medal of Honor (fun?), and Call of Duty: Black Ops, are among the ones the guys get inside of and honest with this week.
Furthermore, the guys announce a new major giveaway for Call of Duty: Black Ops, staring Monday right here at the Adrenaline Vault!

in defense of MOH in basic training you are instilled with the concept of a “battle buddy” , so a “buddy boost” is plausible.
Winners somewhere between 30 and 40… If you don’t have time to listen to an hour long broadcast. Listen to the whole thing when you have time.
You guys should have something that lets you skip ahead in addition to going back. Holy crap are these guys boring to listen to!
Besides the bad media player and really boring hosts, Chris Avellone was awesome. Did these guys even research who Chris worked (original makes of Fallout) for when asking about doing New Vegas? Regardless, I enjoy hearing him talk about Fallout. Glad they got it away from Bethsoft for a bit.

The audio for Podcast Episode 103 dies at 11:23, so I can’t hear the rest of the conversation, nor can I learn who the winners are. Please send me the names of the winners via E-mail: . This is the second time I have linked to a podcast where the audio drops out at around 11:23. I don’t experience this problem with other podcasts or downloaded audio. I have a fairly new, state of the art laptop with very reliable broadband access. Please just E-mail me the names of the winners. THANK YOU!
It just means you are not allowing enough time for the show to completely buffer. In the future just clear your browser’s cache and try again giving the show time to complete buffering.
Sorry, you were not one of the winners.
Marvin, that’s really strange. How long are the other podcasts you listen to? It just seems really odd that you’ve dropped out at exactly the same time on two different podcasts. (There may be an issue with your software, something like corruption or trialware for example. Heck, maybe even a network issue, I don’t know.)
After all, myself and many other people can attest that the avault podcast 103 does in fact work for the entire 60 minutes of it’s length.
Wish I could tell you something more helpful.
Good show guys! Found this podcast through the walking dead podcast and I have to say it helps the day go by. I like that fact that this isn’t just a bunch of crap. I am a 30 year old gamer and feel the same way most of you do, I don’t want to buy armor either and I really like FPS games for the actual game play like and less of the multi-player, although very fun. Keep it up guys!
