Picture from Sean Riley on the podcast (Episode #66)

Sean Riley, the lead designer for Twisted Pixel, joins us for Episode 66 of the Avault Podcast. Sean brought all of his energy with him to join in on a conversation about what it’s like to have not one but two hits on XBLA, the process behind Splosion Man, and unsung developers. Sean also shared with the guys some of what we can expect from Twisted Pixel in the future (Natal?).

This week’s show also covers BioShock 2 (some may want to listen before laying down the cash), Dante’s Inferno (the setting alone might be worth a look), Billy’s attempts at PC gaming, and retro gaming. There’s also a recap of Microsoft’s X10 event, so listen up and don’t get left behind!

Great show guys!!!

And the gauntlet has been thrown down. I’ve heard your call for my Bioshock 2 reaction and will deliver. I’m still awaiting the review copy but if it doesn’t materialize, I’ll procure my own and on my word… unleash hell. Or gush glowingly. Who knows?

As for Twisted Pixel, I’m beginning to rethink my Top 5 Favorite Games of 2009. I really should have slotted ‘Splosion Man in there somewhere as I’m a sucker for 2D Platformers and that was one of the most entertaining games I’ve played in quite some time. There is some mighty talent in that development house, that’s for sure.

As there is behind these mikes. Congrats on the deal!!! As I did in Spanish 301, I’ll be listening to hear my name called. : )

I nominate Dante’s Inferno as best game of 2010. I know lots of other games are being released this year, but the environmental immersion and creativity of DI will be hard to beat.

Did someone say immersion? Looks like my week-end plans were just made. ;)

Thanks a lot Ed! We can’t wait to read your take on Bioshock 2.
