Picture from Project Fedora hits Kickstarter

Big Finish Games wants to revive the classic sci-fi noir detective Tex Murphy, and they need your help. Codenamed Project Fedora, this will be the sixth game in the full-motion video adventure game series. All the original elements are coming back: creators Chris Jones and Aaron Conners (with Jones reprising his lead role), strong character-driven plots, and FMV. New this time are branching story paths, giving a little more flexibility to the man of mystery. Project Fedora promises to not only introduce Tex Murphy to newcomers, but also to resolve the cliffhanger ending from Tex Murphy: Overseer. Kickstarter funding for the endeavor ends on June 16th.

“Pig dog!” LOL, I’d love to see Tex make a comeback. And while we’re at it, how about Master of Orion, Total Annihilation and Might and Magic. There’s a goldmine of old franchises that have never been equaled just waiting to be reborn. Sadly, many of them are tangled up in rights squabbles or simply being shelved (both of which are absurd). Either do something with a property or sell it to someone who will!

I am so happy that Tex is coming back! This game is going to be awesome! I have pledged my way into debt! If you love L.A. Noire, Max Payne, or any other noire detective games, you will LOVE the Tex Murphy games!

A new Tex Murphy is really needed. There are so many bad Kickstarters out there. If this one can’t make it, I won’t know what to think.

GO TEX GO!!!!
