Picture from Sony Ericssons PlayStation phone finally arriving?

It looks as if the rumors are now becoming more solidified. Sony Ericsson looks to be working on a PlayStation phone aimed to take advantage of the growing mobile-gaming market.

According to Gaj-It, insiders say it will be similar to the PSP Go, with slide-out controls, a touch-pad and will have the same graphical abilities as the PSP. Even more good news is that it is believed that it will launch in October. I’m on the fence with this. If you already own a PSP and an iPhone, do you really need this device as well?

I thought the PSP Go failed!? So their ideas was to spend more money on the idea and produce this? As was discussed on the last avault episode, it seems like the lack of commitment is what makes mobile gaming on a smart phone appealing.

I don’t know why some would choose this phone or a PSP Go over a Nintendo DS (or 3DS) or a regular PSP. it’s not that hard to carry around both a phone and a portable gaming system.

let me guess – it’s going to be too little, too late, and too expensive (try asking sony execs to sell $0.99 _quality_ games, and they will have a fit and foam at the collective freakin mouths. what fun.).
