Picture from Sony insists Vita RAM not halved

When the Playstation Vita was announced, Sony had plenty to say about the new handheld and its many capabilities. The device’s specs, however, were kept under wraps. While this is not unusual for a hardware announcement, it does leave the door wide open for Internet speculation. One such speculation is that the Vita will ship with 512MB of RAM.

Recently, a development studio working on Vita games stated that a reduction in RAM would not have any effect on the games they were creating. This caused widespread panic that the RAM had been halved when development kits were sent to studios. To quell the rumors, Sony Worldwide Studios honcho Shuhei Yoshida reminded everyone not to believe everything they read on the Internet.
