Sony Computer Entertainment America today announced a new 80GB model of its PS3 computer entertainment system. Beginning in August, the new PS3 model will be available in North America for a suggested retail price of $599 and will be sold with the online-enabled racing game, MotorStorm. I THINK PEOPLE WON’T LOOK AT THE PRICE BUT AT THE CREATIVITY AND QUALITY OF GAMES ON PS3 CONSOLES . IT’S USELESS TO LOWER THE PRICE BUT THE GAME ISN’T INTERESTING AT ALL

Personally, the price si still too high. Whenever Sony decides to drop the price of the console to around $199 (and also redesign it so it doesnt look like a 3DO), then I will jump in. Hopefully by the time that happens, it will still be a viable platform.
