Picture from Square Enix serves up a side order

To celebrate the one month anniversary of Square Enix’s PC strategy game Order of War, free downloadable content, is now available on Steam. In an announcement the company stated, “Wargaming.net has released free downloadable content. The DLC will download automatically when you launch the game next. The content contains all the formerly exclusive pre-order items which include.” I understand that the DLC will include: Heavy Bomber Squadrons, Infantry Mortar Launchers, Off-Map Heavy Artillery, and Survival Mission Mode.

It’s a pretty wargame (you can put those two words together). Some of you, however, might be disappointed that the download doesn’t improve overall game-play (sticking to a basic capture the flag type set-up – the more you capture the more resources become unlocked). Do you feel this was a wasted opportunity to add needed improvements?
