Picture from Steve Wiebe wants to reclaim Donkey Kong record

Legendary gamer Steve Wiebe will attempt to reclaim his “Donkey Kong” throne at the 2009 Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) and G4 viewers will have a live front-row seat to all the action. Wiebe was the first person on record to break a million points in Donkey Kong, a high score that he ultimately lost to Billy Mitchell as portrayed in the popular film “The King Of Kong: A First Full Of Quarters.” Twin Galaxies, the authority on video game score rankings, will provide the official Donkey Kong unit and be on-hand to record Wiebe’s score as he attempts to break Mitchell’s world record and reclaim victory. G4 is bringing fans exclusive access to this special event on Tuesday, June 2 as part the network’s week-long E3 coverage.

I know. We’ve been sitting on his contact info for a while. We should send him a line and see if he would want to come on and chat.
