Publishers Microsoft and From Software and developer K2 today announced that the Xbox 360 exclusive Tenchu Z has shipped to retailers across the nation. Players are cast as a ninja assassin who embarks on more than 50 missions in ancient Japan. Gamers can download the Tenchu Z demo from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace. The free trial version includes a single player mission and pre-selected ninja accessories from the full game.

In Tenchu Z, players assassinate bad guys, track enemies and rescue hostages using stealth. Gamers also can create their own ninja using a variety of face types, hair features, outfits and accessories. Tenchu Z supports play solo at home or co-operative play with two to four players through Xbox LIVE or a system link. (Let a friend subdue a boss from behind as another runs him through with a katana.) Special co-op moves are also available.
