Picture from Tropico 4 coming to the 360

PC players have been able to play dictator over Tropico 4‘s virtual Caribbean citizens since late August, but starting October 18, Xbox 360 gamers will get their shot. Players assume the role of El Presidente, which allows for leadership behaviors that range from the tyrannical to the benevolent. As for additions to the series, the game will feature a full 20-mission campaign, as well as new environments and building types. Kalypso is also expanding the game’s political options with the ability to appoint ministers to help pass less popular decisions into law. Foreign powers are also at play this time around and can be dealt with in various ways. Assassination anyone?

It’s Tropico 3, but with a few new buildings and political options. And for some reason the maximum population is less than in Tropico 3, unless they patch it. Bad news for people like me who like to develop an island as fully as possible before moving on to the next one. Also, Kalypso… when the heck are we going to get TRAFFIC LIGHTS? Or stop signs? I’m getting really tired of having to be super-careful with my roads to avoid mile-long traffic jams.
