Pictures from USA Network ramps up casual gaming efforts

USA Network’s Character Arcade is getting an upgrade. The gaming portal will offer fans a destination that goes beyond game-play, including access to gamer portfolio tools, social networking, an affinity program, industry news, chat/blog forums and new gaming options, including PC, downloadable and MMO titles. USA is engaging in a reciprocal partnership with NeoEdge, enabling USA to both license games from NeoEdge’s catalog of casual, downloadable PC games, and distribute USA’s Character Arcade games via NeoEdge’s distribution channels. USA has also created a social media environment that allows fans sharing and chatting capabilities and the ability to amass rewards for virtual goods.
