Forget carrots — grab your controller. The debate over whether video games are beneficial or harmful to those who play continues, but U.S. scientists have found that regular players of games, such as Half-Life and Medal of Honor, have much better visual skills than most of the population. The researchers have shown that people who play these games were particularly good at spotting details in busy, confusing scenes and could cope with more visual distractions than the average person. Research also found that, with a little game playing, the visual skills of anyone at any age can be improved.

Wow! I didn’t realize that playing games was good for something and they have TV shows trying to make kids and others get outside and get a life. Maybe they need to show that us gamers have something to show for playing these kinds of games. I wonder what other games help out?
Interesting! It kind of motivates me to play a bit more! I used to be a devoted gamer in the past and I recently got back on playing shooters, especially Call of Duty 4, which is amazing! I don’t think I’ll ever play as much as I did before but with all the new games coming out and all the spectacular graphical effects they can deliver nowadays, I just can’t resist! Now that they have scientific proof of the benefits gamers can earn over the rest of the people who don’t play at all, I’m proud to be a gamer!
I wouldn’t say this is an amazing triumph, but I will say it’s nice to know that if there’s anything on the other side of the scale, this should help say that games aren’t all bad.
this is so cool, im doing an essay on this and it really helped me, thnk you dso much!
