Picture from Vol. 2 of The Lost Cases of Sherlock Holmes announced

Casual games developer and publisher, Legacy Interactive, has announced The Lost Cases of Sherlock Holmes, Vol. 2, the sequel to their mystery, puzzle/adventure and hidden object casual game. Join Sherlock Holmes in his return to 221b Baker St. to solve 16 all-new mysteries. Come face-to-face with murder, theft, forgery, dog-napping and even the supernatural. With the help of Dr. Watson, Sherlock¹s trusted right-hand-man; you will find more than 1,000 hidden objects while exploring 45 locations set in Victorian-era London. See the world through the eyes of Sherlock Holmes as you track down suspects while solving dozens of puzzles and mini-games. Narrow down the list of suspects by playing a Sudoku-style picture game to piece together the evidence, and match wits with over 100 characters to ultimately unravel the mystery of whodunit. The Lost Cases of Sherlock Holmes, Vol. 2 is slated for PC download in December 2009 and will ship to retail during the first quarter of 2010.

Legacy has it listed as releasing this month, but without a hard date, and being in the middle of the month, already…February will probably be more like it.

The game was released a few days ago! It’s a really nice hidden object game, with lots of locations and different cases to solve. You can play the free trial on Legacy Interactive at http://www.legacygames.com/download_games/1673/the_lost_cases_of_sherlock_holmes_2 There will also be a Mac version out soon.

The last info that we received on the title was on December 17, with no hint as to a delay. Currently, Legacy has changed the release date to this quarter, which means sometime before April 1.
