One of the first games Sony used to exhibit the power of the PlayStation 3 was Level-5′s White Knight Chronicles. The JRPG failed to initially impress US critics, but D3 has just announced that they plan to release the game’s sequel for the PS3 in North America this summer. White Knight Chronicles II picks up a year after the events of the original game, but the full original campaign will be included in the sequel for those that missed it the first time around. Set in the magical realm of Balandor, the game sees the return of many of the original characters, including its primary protagonist, Leonard.

White Knight Chronicles II will include more than 400 weapon and armor pieces, custom avatar creation, and new skill types and spells.
