Picture from Witcher 2 Announced for XboxDevelopers with Poland’s CD Projekt Red took a few minutes off from their pre-E3 vacation in Venice Beach, CA, today to announce that their newest PC-only game, The Witcher 2, is coming to the Xbox 360. They promised during a video conference that the game would not be “dumbed down” for the console and would be the virtual equal of the PC version, which they say has sold approximately 400,000 copies in its first week of release. No mention was made about a PS3 port. The Xbox version is expected to arrive in stores at the end of 2011.

Also announced was an extensive patch that will upgrade the PC game to version 1.2. The patch includes more than 50 improvements, such as play balancing tweaks, key mapping, target locking, and a fix that makes it easier to import saves from the previous game. The patch also includes all of the previously released DLC packs for The Witcher, plus a new download that gives you the chance to change Geralt’s hairstyle. The patch becomes available on June 3.
