Its becoming increasingly clear that the next big thing isn't coming from the last big studio. The game biz, like Hollywood, seems obsessed with cranking out shlock that insults the intelligence and sensibilities while displaying all the artistry of a demolition derby. Modders usually do what they do because nobody is actually <i>making</i> the games we all really want to play.
