Pro Pinball is another in a long line of computer pinball games but this one is much more flexible than others of its type. Pro Pinball allows you to choose what resolution you want to play at and in how many colors. The game also allows you choose how it changes musical scores. But getting beyond the boring tidbits, how real is Pro Pinball and what does it let you do? Let’s take a look…

The game comes with both DOS and Windows 95 versions on the same CD (the Win95 version requires DirectX 2), both versions are the same except you may get slightly worse performance under the DOS version and may have to play with your video card drivers. The game itself is almost exactly like a real arcade pinball game with the exception that it doesn’t allow you to change the force with which you launch a new ball. Pro Pinball uses some of the standard digital pinball features like power levels, combos, and missions. The missions in the game include: Skill Shot – shoot a spider just as it lights up, Video Mode – shoot the mines flying at you in the digital display, Space Station Frenzy – shoot all the drop targets and shoot 3 balls in the dock to start playing with all your pinballs at once, Fast Frenzy – get from 2-4 pinballs to play with for as long as you can keep them in play, and The Ultimate Showdown – when you complete all the missions and sub-themes on the table, 6 balls will be fired on the table for you to defeat the enemy with!
